How to do DTF & SUBLIMATION ON COTTON?
1.Mirror print the image on the film
2.Put the DTF film in the sublimation printer (you could tape a normal paper on the background to help identify film)
3. Pre heat the heat machine: set to 266℉-320℉ for 120s-300s
4. Cover pattern with DTF powder, and remove extra powder.
5.Powder melting temperature and time: 284℉-356℉/140℃-180℃ for 120s-240s. (The time and temperature are also different according to different powder melting machines. If it is a thicker special effect film, you can set your own time and temperature)
6.next, Pre-pressing clothes temperature time: 293℉-320℉/145℃-160℃ for 5-10s (it is recommended to cool down after pre-pressing and then transfer to avoid continuous hot pressing causing deformation of the clothes)
7.Cover the finl with the T-shirt . Transfer temperature and time: 293℉-320℉/145℃-160℃ for 15-20s
8. Wait to cool down 10-15s before peeling off the fiml.

How to use DTF Powder and DTF Transfer Film:
Print the pattern on DTF film
Insert DTF transfer film in paper tray, print the image onto the matte side of film in mirror mode.
Note:
- Printing side remarked on packing. Printing side may be tested with clear Scotch tape pressing peeling for any white nano particles.
- Use the DTF ink. NOT regular inkjet ink.
Hot melt adhesive powder application
Sprinkle the DTF transfer powder uniformly over the print manually or using the automated shaker. Remove excess DTF powder adhesive.
Note:
- When shaking the powder, pay attention to avoid a large amount of powder adhesion around the pattern, and the excess powder should be removed.
Melting DTF transfer powder
DTF adhesive powder baking temp and time suggestion
Temp: 284℉-356℉/140℃-180℃
Time: 120s-240s
Attention: Lower temp, longer baking time is needed.
Note:
- Temperature and time setting depends on the powder melting point.
Pre-pressing
Pre-pressing clothes temperature time: 293℉-320℉/145℃-160℃ for 5-10s (it is recommended to cool down after pre-pressing and then transfer to avoid continuous hot pressing causing deformation of the clothes). This will flatten the fabric & remove excess humidity.
Place the film (print-side DOWN) onto the platen-threaded garment.
Heat pressing temp and time
Temp: 293℉-320℉/145℃-160℃
Time: 15-20s
- For special fabrics, set the temperature and time according to the melting point.
Cold peel and repressing
Peel off the film in one slow, slow, continuous motion. Repress garment for 10-15s at 325°F. This step is recommended to improve durability and stabilize the coating.
- Storage Environment: Relative humidity is 35-65%, temperature is 10-30°C. Stored in a sealed room and protected from direct sunlight
